What is a FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022? It is a professional association football competition involving national football teams. Nevertheless, the FIFA-organized competition began in Uruguay in 1930. Hence, playing this game every four years has become a ritual. The world cup has featured 32 teams since the 1998 edition. Eight round-robin groups compete in the competition. A knockout phase for 16 teams follows it. The French national football team is the reigning champion after defeating Croatia 4-2 in the 2018 FIFA final. The current event of the game will take place in Qatar for a short time. Hence, the football game will happens from November 20 to December 18.
Fortunately, FIFA World Cup 2022 is the first World Cup that will happen in the Arab world and is taking place in Qatar. Also, most COVID-19 pandemic regulations, like keeping a distance from people, donning masks, and getting negative tests, were unnecessary for spectators.
The authorities decided that FIFA World Cup will take place in November and December instead of June and July, like previous tournaments. The authorities take this initiative to avoid the oppressive summer heat in Qatar. Therefore, the World Cup is unusually held in the middle of football league seasons. Also, these seasons typically begin in late July or early August. It includes all the major leagues (European). These leagues add extra breaks to the domestic schedules. In this way, it will make room for the World Cup. To avoid having group matches the following year, major European events have planned their group matches to take place before the World Cup.
