FIFA announced the match schedule in July 2020. On November 21, the group stage will start with four daily games. After Qatar successfully pushed FIFA to enable its squad to open the tournament, the authorities adjusted the schedule by moving the Qatar vs. Ecuador game to November 20. Hence, the good news is the game will start on December 18, 2022, National Day. Luckily, the championship game will take place at Lusail Iconic Stadium.

On April 1, 2022, FIFA announced the group stage location and kickoff timings. Nevertheless, the tournament’s opening match had an original schedule between Senegal and the Netherlands, which was moved to the time slot that had opened up after Qatar vs. Ecuador was moved up a day. Hence, there is a confirmation of this game on August 11.
